3″ MJ Adapter Kit: Gland Ring, Gasket, and T-Bolts for HDPE MJ Adapters
This 3 inch MJ adapter kit supplies the hardware that completes the mechanical joint connection on a 3″ IPS HDPE MJ adapter. First, the gland ring presses the gasket into the MJ bell. Then the T-bolts pull the joint tight. As a result, you need one kit for each MJ adapter connection.

Why You Need the Kit
An MJ adapter does not seal on its own. Instead, the gland ring sits behind the adapter’s flange, and the gasket seats in the MJ bell. Then the bolts squeeze the gasket into place. Therefore, ordering the kit with the adapter keeps the full connection on one quote.
Installation tip: Slide the gland ring onto the pipe before you fuse the adapter, because you cannot add it afterward. Also, follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions for bolt torque.
